Jacob Fine
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Jacob is perhaps best known in the industry for the passion, expertise and care he brings to every situation and interaction each and every day.
His client-centered approach draws from his decades of experience in New York City, a love of architecture and design, and a background representing prominent, high-end properties that has taken him from Rockefeller Center to brownstone Brooklyn to upstate New York.
“You need someone in your corner who will work hard and fight for you, but also has experience handling complex, sophisticated transactions,” he says.
He is uniquely positioned to do just that as the rare agent who has managed to not only build a successful residential practice alongside one in commercial real estate, but to marry the two seamlessly. “One informs the other,” he says. “It’s the diversity of experience that allows me to think outside-the-box in negotiations and deal structuring,” he says.
Jacob first cut his teeth selling townhouses in Brooklyn, and has since expanded to condo and co-op sales there and across Manhattan, where he has developed a specialization in loft-board conversions. He has consulted for residential developers, and has experience on the commercial side in the sales of development sites along with retail, office and industrial properties and has worked with national and emerging brands in leasing.
To every situation, Jacob brings a careful eye for market analysis and valuation that was first honed during a successful career as a financial journalist, where he ran a section of a daily print newspaper and managed a small team of reporters. While there he personally authored over 1,000 articles and produced investigative and breaking news that has been cited by competing news outlets, the Securities and Exchange Commission and a Congressional report. But as a son of a real estate family, the allure of his present career proved too powerful to resist.
In BOND New York he has found a firm with scale and resources that operates around a boutique business model that truly prioritizes his clients. Jacob is known for his hands-on approach to working with his firm’s in-house marketing department alongside interior designers, architects, photographers and other professionals to bring his creative vision for his properties’ marketing materials to life and ensure the highest quality presentation.
It’s all a part of an approach based on the close relationships he forges with his clients that often last well beyond any single transaction. “Almost immediately when working with someone, I feel like I’m looking out for a friend,” he says. “I’d rather spend the next year finding them a home than put them in something that could make them unhappy down the line.”
Jacob is an avid dad and musician who has performed at venues spanning Manhattan and Brooklyn. He lives with his 6-year old son, Benny, who attends school across from Central Park. When their schedules permit, they can be found exploring the universe together.
“This city was built on dreams,” he likes to say. “Now let’s realize yours.”
